Ivykit looked at her paws uneasily and well kinda embaressed she looked up and the compassionate medicine cat "at least you understand" she mumbled sadly, she fixed her eyes on her paws, "I will always be a burden" she murmered to herself hopeing Aspenpool hadn't heard her small comment. She hated the fact that she would only see with one eye, she flet so small and alone having no family, she was ready to become an apprentice. Ivykit suddenly realized that their was a private meetting going on"oh sorry about interrupting your conversation, I'll go now" she respectfully licked Aspenpool's shoulder and headed out of the den making sure this time she didn't crash into the entrance.

Aspenpool smiled gently at Ivykit. "I'm sure others will respect you later on in your life," she meowed sympathetically. "You won't always be a burden." She ran her tail along her fur. "I was just like you when I was your age. And look what I've become." Her grin widened as she thought of the time she became medicine cat apprentice. "It had surprised me so much; I was confident that the Clan would abandon me and force me to become a rogue because of the way I kept bothering them." She sighed, and looked down at the kitten again. "See you then. And remember, you won't always be a nuisance." Her eyes glittered mischieviously as she thought about who her next medicine cat apprentice might be, eyeing Ivykit with interest. A thought abruptly caught her by the tail. "Ivykit! Wait, can you wait outside? I want to ask you a few questions before I forget again."

Ivykit nodded her while her one eye was now fixed on her small tabby striped paws. She waited outside the den.

Aspenpool smiled once again at Ivykit. "Thanks a bunch. You're a great help. I mean it," she meowed honestly, and gave her a quick lick on the ear before she left the den. A serious expression took over her face as the medicine cat turned back to Shadeheart. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Now, where were we? " she aked politely as she met her gaze.

"Torn herbs." Shadeheart meowed. She wrapped her tail around her paws. "Have you had any damaged herbs lately?" Shadeheart asked. She didn't really care if Aspenpool did or not, but she had to make Aspenpool to feel like she was talking to her and not spying on RiverClan.

Aspenpool shook her head. "No. Our herbs have been very abundant lately. You can take anything you need," she offered, her tail gesturing toward the overflowing herbs piles she hadn't sorted yet. She made a mental to remember to do that when Shadeheart left, since some of them were already drying.
